Meenu Chhabra, President and Chief Executive Officer

Meenu Chhabra joined Allozyne, Inc as President and Chief Executive Officer in October 2007. Prior to joining the Allozyne team, Ms. Chhabra was Vice President Business Development and Licensing for Novartis (Switzerland). Immediately prior to joining Novartis, Ms Chhabra served as the Chief Business Officer at BioXell SpA (Italy). Ms. Chhabra also has held management positions at NeurAxon, Inc. and Fresenius Kabi AG, as well as sales and marketing roles at Parke Davis/Warner Lambert, Inc. and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Inc. Ms. Chhabra obtained her Hons B.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto in Pharmacology and her Masters Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

 

 

 

 

Tim Axtelle, Vice President, Product Development

Tim Axtelle joined Allozyne as Vice President of Product Development in May 2009. Before joining Allozyne, he spent 2 years as Vice President of Research and Development at Implicit Bioscience and 15 years as Director of Therapeutic Development at ICOS Corporation. Previously, he also worked as a research scientist at Immunetech Pharmaceuticals in San Diego and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. In more than 18 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience in the US and Australia, Tim has led drug development programs from discovery through clinical development and registration. These programs include biologics, natural products, peptides and small molecules as treatments for autoimmune disease, severe sepsis, infectious disease and urologic indications.

 

 

 

 

Kenneth Grabstein, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer

Kenneth Grabstein joined Allozyne, Inc. as Chief Scientific Officer in October of 2005. Prior to joining the Allozyne team, Dr. Grabstein was at Immunex Inc, where he spent 12 years in R&D leading the discovery and characterization of cytokines and other protein immuno-modulators. He went on to co-found Corixa Inc and led a research team of 100 scientists engaged in the discovery and development of immuno-therapeutics. He has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and is an inventor on over 20 issued patents. Dr. Grabstein has Affiliate Faculty positions at the University of Washington, and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Kenneth Grabstein, Ph.D., received his Ph.D. in Immunology from U.C. Berkeley in 1982.
